==Character biography==
Husband of Christine and father of Max, Tim was a junior State Cabinet minister in season one and a natural politician tipped for bigger things. But for this smooth operator things started to get rough. Tim's son Max is the result of an affair he had with Nat during the early days of his marriage to Christine. Now, after a long, hard battle to save his marriage and keep his son, he is in the enviable position of having a loving and functional marriage, a good relationship with his son, and a career on track to match his ambitions.
